Senior Design Specialist (IoT Network Development and Operations)
Job Description:
- Technical requirements assessment and Design of IoT Core Network.
- Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of IoT Core network Lab, Staging, and production system.
- Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of IoT Platform.
- Management of creation, release, and configuration of production systems.
- Providing System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.
- Designing, maintenance, and management of tools for automation of different operational processes.
- Must be able to work within tight deadlines and schedules which may result in external work hours to meet project deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Wireless Team (Ran, RAN, Wireless Core, IP Core, FW, BT, IMS, EPC, Lab team, NFVi Design& Planning, etc.), "Technology Strategy" and "Product Development" to understand new technologies and services to prepare our team to succeed in an evolving business environment such as 5G and IoT.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders including senior management across the technology and partnering organizations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the wireless core network, especially EPC (Evolved Packet Core – PGW, MME, DRA), IoT, NFV, 5G.
- In-depth knowledge of 3GPP (LTE/UMTS/HSPA/5G) wireless core standards, including end-to-end signaling and traffic flows.
- Good understanding of computer technologies and architectures including TCP/IP, O/S, layer 2 and 3 networks.
- Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
- Understanding of IP design including TCP/IP, VPN concepts in IP/MPLS multi-vendor environment, Cisco, Nokia, and Juniper routing/switches, DNS, network management, and security.
- KMPI, ICP-ATF, ICP-ACC, CSM, CSPO, or other Agile certifications.
- Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such Splunk and NetScout.
- Knowledge and experience with scripting and programming languages (such as Ansible, Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.)
- An ability to troubleshoot complex networking problems, with emphasis on critical thinking skills.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.
- Minimum Bachelors, Preferably Master of Engineering or Computer Science.
Contract length: 10 months
